Trend 12 piece starter set

What ever the downpoints of this set are, having 12 good quality router bits at this price is too good to miss. The quality and performance are adequate for all except the really serious woodworker. The biggest drawback is the collett spanner it would not be out of place in a toy bike tool set. The shafts apper to be rather short and I found that to rout to any decent depth my dust extraction had to be removed. The bearings are running extremely true for "cheapos" How long the bearings and the sharpness of the bits will last is unknown. they are in regular use, but I have only used them in mdf,softwood and thin ply.In conclusion I would reccommend this set for anyone who wants a go at routing and go for 8mm dia if your router has the collett etc (Posted on 11/08/2011)
