I absolutely love this bin. It's a great size, great shape and has a brilliantly operating lid. But, it is such a shame that Simplehuman obviously have a production quality problem with the bin lids...
My first order came with a lid that had unremovable marks on it that were exposed when peeling off the sticker. My complaint was handled efficiently and I now have a new lid. On removing the sticker, once again there are unremovable marks; different type of marks this time but still not perfect. It seems odd and rather suspicious that they are under the sticker, as if Simplehuman have noticed this and are trying to cover it up. It's obviously a production fault as the lids are pretty tough looking and these marks have been made during the manufacturing process.

I wouild be most interested if you were to talk to Simplehuman about this and offer me your feedback. Subsequently the latest marks are not as bad and I am going to keep it despite it not being perfect.

Your company have been excellent and I consider the bin as about right cost wise. (Posted on 11/08/2011)

I have ordered two of these bins from DIY tools - the first one was damaged - a dent in the side and the second one the catch was broken - I do not believe it was due to bad packaging from DIY tools as the bins have arrived very well protected so can only assume the bins are not at all robust if the catch can not cope with being posted then it wont cope with daily use in my opinion - this has therefore left me with a very bad opinion of Simple Human bins and I will stick with Barbantia in future.
