The quality of this bin is very high and shows that you do get what you pay for, the lid mechanism is very smooth and closes silently. It's easy to keep clean and doesn't move around when you step on the pedal. The actual bins are big enough for the recycling and are small enough to encourage you to empty them regularly. A normal supermarket carrier bag fits perfectly for the normal rubbish. We use the tesco bags as they are biodegradable. Overall a highly recommended bin if you're tight for space. Fantastic, stylish solution to recycling. It holds good amounts of rubbish whilst being slim and it's worth getting (on line, in bulk) the Simple Human Bags for the non-recycling internal bin.
The two internal bins need replacing carefully after emptying otherwise the lid won't close, but overall it's very robust, well built and well worth the money. (Posted on 11/08/2011)

Excellent bin. Well worth paying the extra to go for this. Well made and looks stylish in the kitchen. Makes putting the rubbish and recycling out so easy. This product is undoubtedly expensive but proves its value. A stylish & well manufactured product that does its practical job very well. Doesn't mark easily and is simple to maintain. An excellent & elegant solution to the rubbish Vs. recycle problem.

Although this bin is quite expensive, it is well worth the money. Having two sections within means we no longer have our orange recycling bag on the floor in our tiny kitchen, although we do have to take out the rubbish/recycling more frequently. First of all: really well made and looks great, and their customer service is brilliant.
We had a problem that when placed under a worksurface and the butterfly flaps raised, you can't scrape the leftovers off a plate into the bin - there is simply nowhere near enough space to do this.

I ended up removing the butterfly lid, and turning the bin round, so the square back is to the front. Works fine! (Posted on 11/08/2011)
