Evo-Stik 873 Flooring Adhesive - 2.5 Litre

This is good stuff, does exactly what it ought to. You just dip the spreader (included in the tub) and spread the stuff - over as large an area as you can cope with in the 15 minutes before it sets. You only apply it to one of the surfaces - I put it on chipboard which had been well vacuumed. The adhesive does not go as far as indicated and you use more of it, there is no question of "am I using too much or too little?" as the spreader regulates the amount you put on. As you drag the teeth of the spreader over the floor it leaves the right amount. Any blobs or extra streaks of adhesive can be dragged over again with the spreader thereby leaving the right amount on the floor. After the 15 minutes, and having pressed the tiles well down a couple of times (they float around a little under slight hand pressure the first time you set them on, and so are adjustable. However after about 5 minutes the adhesion holds them well in place.
For some reason it is difficult to align all the tiles and so edges do not quite match up after a couple of rows. This may just be me, or inexperience, but I notice after the job is finished - these tiny misalignments (maybe 3 mm) are relatively invisible.
