Excellent product. I used it to prepare kitchen unit doors, end panels, interiors etc for painting with eggshell paint. The surfaces were laquered or varnished oak and oak veneer. I did absolutely no sanding and the paint has adhered fine. It may seem expensive but it goes a long way - I only used 1/2 a litre on a big kitchen, and it saved me hours of laborious sanding. I used this product many years ago after I saw it on a makeover programme on television. I couldn't get it in the local DIY shops then but had to order it from a trade paint shop. I used it on some grained melomime kitchen cupboards and just couldn't believe the result - it was amazing. The adherence to the cupboard doors was unbelievable and I just followed the instructions to the letter and put gloss paint straight on after allowing the ESP to do its work. I still have half of the old tin left and have since bought a new one just in case I need to use it again. It is a very special product which cuts out all the usual preparation required and saves money because you can recycle many things which would otherwise have to replaced. I would recommend it to women in particular because it will make decorating a joy and not a chore! (Posted on 11/08/2011)

I needed a product that would allow me to paint over wall tiles. These tiles were very old. Actually this house used to be a butchers and we wanted to keep the tiles but paint over them. I used this ESP and painted it over the tiles so as to make a key for the paint and sure enough it worked beautifully. I would recommend this product now to any one who needed to paint over a surface such as kitchen pressesor tiles etc.. (Posted on 11/08/2011)

have used esp for many years now and it is an excellent alternative to sanding or using nitromose stripper,used in the correct manner it is faultless for providing a good sound key for painting either oil or water based paints.a good buy at very reasonable cost. (Posted on 11/08/2011)

Does exactly what it says ! I have been using for furniture restoration, makes it really easy to paint over shiny surfaces, without the need for sanding. Have even painted over upvc windows, just one coat of ESP and the paint took like a dream. (Posted on 11/08/2011)
