Cancellations
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within 7 working days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods). This is a UK statutory right.
We however extend this and allow a cooling off period of 14 days. This means that you can cancel your order any time for any reason up to 14 days from the date at which you purchased from us.
Should you cancel the contract we will then refund you the price you have paid for the goods including the standard cost of delivery. We will not refund the cost of a service provided by us that you specifically requested, such as a gift-wrap service or a special delivery service. You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods, which means the goods must be unused.
To cancel your order email, customerservices@diytools.co.uk. Please provide your order number, the date of purchase, your name and contact details, the item you wish to cancel and the reason.
Returns
To return a product email customerservices@diytools.co.uk. Please provide your order number, the date of purchase, your name and contact details, the product you wish to return and the reason.
Please note that you may be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the goods back from you, we may arrange for collection of the item from you and charge our costs of collection to you.
Items should be returned in an unused condition with the original packaging, together with a valid receipt or other proof of purchase.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights. |

| |  | | How much will delivery cost me? | | | | | Standard Delivery is FREE for orders of £100.00 and over.
The standard delivery charge starts at just £2.95 and applies to orders under £100.00.
Certain large or heavy products incur a delivery surcharge.
Large machinery that requires a tail lift may incur a surcharge of up to £70.00
Our Knobs & Knockers catalogue is available to purchase online at £3.00.
There is NO DELIVERY CHARGE for ordering this. | | | | | | Top of Page | | | | Do you deliver to my area? | | | We offer the following delivery options to the following areas.
Standard Delivery is free for orders over £100.00 to most UK Mainland addresses. Certain heavy product may incur a surcharge. If a product incurs such a charge this will be clearly displayed along side the product and in your basket.
The following post codes and areas may not qualify for free delivery and may take up to two extra days to be delivered.
Scottish Highlands: IV KW and AB Jersey, Isle of Man (IM), Isle Of Wight, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides Shetland Isles | | | | What delivery options exist if I do not live in the UK? | | | Although the bulk of our orders are shipped within Great Britian we do however receive many requests from customers wishing to purchase our products from outside the United Kingdom.
In these instances we use Parcelforce Worldwide to deliver these goods.
In most cases there will be an additional charge which is dependent on the weight and size of the product(s)
What we suggest you do is the following.
Place you order via our secure checkout, paying by either Credit/Debit Card, Cheque or Paypal.
We will then contact you with the additional charge if any and apply this to your order.
You can choose to either accept or cancel your order based on these charges.

Some products may take up to 28 days to be delivered. This usually relates to larger items for example Garden sheds and some Greenhouses. In these instances these products maybe delivered directly by the manufacturer and can take up to the time displayed.

You will then be able to see your most recent orders, your current DIY Points balance and the status of your order. | | | | | | | | | | I am not going to be at home to receive my pre-arranged delivery, what do I need to do? | | | | Please contact us to as soon as possible to let us know. We require a signature for all deliveries made by our own delivery vehicles and third party carriers. When will I receive my goods? | | | | For products, which are held at our main warehouse, we will endeavour to process your order within 48 hours and contact you to confirm despatch of your order. What will happen now? | | | | These dates indicate to us the approximate lead times manufacturers quote us for delivery of your goods. Some of our deliveries are carried out by the manufacturers themselves and usually take place within the timescales quoted in working days e.g. excluding Saturdays. Products that are not delivered directly by manufacturers are ordered in to our main warehouse, we will then contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. | | | | | | What about damage on delivery? | | | Before you sign the delivery note, please make sure that the goods are unpacked and inspected when they arrive. In the unlikely event of damage occurring in transit, this will help towards a speedy replacement if the goods are refused.
