Bosch UNEO 14.4v Cordless Quick SDS Combi Hammer Drill with Internal Lithium Ion Battery

Whether fitting a curtain rail, hanging up a light fitting, assembling kitchen furniture or fitting shelves: nowadays you need various power tools for every modification to your home. A cordless screwdriver for joining the parts together, a drill for drilling holes in wood or metal and finally a rotary hammer for drilling holes for fixings in hard concrete walls. That is three tools that take up a lot of storage space because they are usually big and heavy.

The new Uneo from Bosch completes all of these drilling and screwdriving jobs with flying colours: it drills holes for fixings in concrete up to 10mm in diameter as easily as it drills holes up to 10mm in diameter in wood. It then also drives the screws for the wall brackets needed to fit wall cabinets. The user does not even have to get off their ladder between jobs because they always have the right machine with them.

Moreover, there is no annoying cable because the Uneo works with an integrated lithium-ion battery in the 14.4 volt class. It therefore offers all of the advantages of this modern battery technology: low weight and volume, hardly any self-discharge, rechargeable at any time. For example, 100 screws (5 x 50 mm) can be driven with one battery charge. There is a red and a green LED, so that the user can easily check the charging state at any time. The green LED means the tool is sufficiently charged. If the red LED lights up, it is advisable to recharge soon. 2 green LED arrows show the user whether forward or reverse operation is selected, for example when screwdriving.

The unique Uneo from Bosch contains many innovations, above all a pneumatic hammer mechanism with the smallest ever dimensions. In combination with the powerful Bosch motor, it enables high utilisation of power in an extremely small space. The single impact force of 0.9 joules at 4800 blows per minute speaks for itself.

Another new feature is the drill bit holder for the concrete drill bits: the SDS-Quick system. Drill bits with small wings on the shank can be inserted quickly and conveniently, in exactly the same way as the SDS-plus system: simply insert the drill bit, let it engage and off you go. But all drill bits or screwdriver bits with a hexagonal shank (1/4"") can also be used.
