These porcelain doorknobs are elegant: finely-fin...Review by Mr Grevel Lindop
Quality Value Price These porcelain doorknobs are elegant: finely-finished and very reasonable at the price. Ideal for period houses (our is from 1908), where they fit in beautifully, are easy to clean and are very pleasant to the touch. They were delivered promptly and safely packed. It''s important to get the bar at the right angle when you fit them, however: try turning it 90 degrees and check that the knob stays straight before you tighten the grub screw. Other than that they are very easy to fit and anyone could do it. Don''t tighten the screws on the collar too hard: our builder broke one by using a power screwdriver (fortunately one in each set was spare becasue of the type of lock). Do it manually and feel your way: the collars look like metal but are in fact porcelain so they don''t give under pressure, they just crack. (Posted on 11/08/2011)
